The following comments noted were taken directly from the Beta Group Feedback for the "Fine Line" Continuous Curve Rulers. The Beta Group conducted their testing of the "Fine Line" Continuous Curve Rulers for a 6 week period. I am very excited about adding these new rulers to the "Fine Line" Quilter's Ruler family. I am sharing some open comments and answered questions from my testers.
The Beta Group consisted of a great mix of quilters from all experience levels in quilting and with ruler work. Thank you again to all of them for helping launch another "Fine Line" Quilter's Ruler!

"Your rulers have revolutionized my quilting. They are easy to control, hold, and I no longer dread ruler work now. The patented pegs for holding the ruler are what makes the rulers stand out. I recommend the "Fine Line" Rulers to all my students!"
- Carla Barrett - CA
"Good products Carol, I enjoyed the opportunity to use and review them."
- Deb Levy - FL
"I really do love the fact that you are willing to customize the pegs for smaller hands.
The 2-1/2" spread made all the difference when I received them."
- Debbi Kelly - WI
"I will absolutely recommend these rulers, especially to newcomers to the Longarm quilting world. I have limited experience using rulers, but the few times I had tried ruler work, I found them awkward and frustrating. I was using too much downward pressure to keep them in place or not enough pressure and I would end up slipping the ruler out of place. The finger grips on the top of the "Fine Line" ruler provides great control. I was able to master the CC in my border and block designs and CH with the straight "Fine Line" Ruler. I know that this is just a beginning and that I will find a multitude of design ideas to use the rulers for in the future.
- Cheryl Anne Brown-Collins - WA
"I will recommend these rulers, already have. Definitely it is an excellent product."
- Eddie Landreth - AR
"I am very happy to recommend your new Continuous Surve Rulers to all quilters"
- Kay Bell - Scotland, UK
"Absolutely I will recommend your rulers. Can I start now?? Or do I need to wait until you are in full production mode?"
- Gayle McKay - PA
"I already have recommended your rulers...lol With your permission I would love to follow up with some posts on my blog about my positive experiences with this tool. I seriously love this tool! Not kissing up here. I have always wanted to do curved cross-hatching and this tool made it a very easy learning curve. The first attempt worked perfectly, no frogging is always good."
- Janet Murdock - OR
"I loved using these rulers. They are easy to use (size, gripper strip, pegs) and are a perfect tool for accurate curved x-hatching."
- Donna James - BC, Canada
"Carol, thank you for the opportunity to test your new rulers. So far I am very pleased with them. I look forward to the next set!"
- Gretchen Adams - NY
"This has been fun and opened up a new area of ruler work for me."
- Meg Marshall - WA

Were the "Fine Line" Continuous Curve Rulers easily held and manipulated while quilting?
"Of course, they are easier to hold than any other ruler on the market. It is easier to keep in place and not put too much pressure on them (that was always my problem before trying to keep them down and not hit them with the hopping foot"
- Debbi Kelly - WI
"Yes, this is the feature I loved the most!" - Carla Barrett - CA
"Yes!" - Deb Levy - FL
"Yes, very!" - Cheryl Anne Brown-Collins - WA
"Yes, being a man my hands are larger than a female's, but I found the grip pegs just right for my grip and easy to hold onto."
- Eddie Landreth - AR
"It took me a minute or two to get used to the handles. After working with flat rulers my hands had memory as to how they held a ruler. But I found myself using the handles to brace my hold in no time. They added to the stability and general comfort of ruler work. I was surprised at how much I liked them."
- Janet Murdock - OR
"I find the rulers fit perfectly in my hand and are easy to move around into different positions, although I did find the smaller one more easily managed, but maybe tha is just the newness of ruler work to me, or possibly the size of the base on my machine. The addition of the resistance strip adds just the right amount of grip to hold without dragging"
- Kay Bell - Scotland, UK
"They were easy to hold and manipulate" - Gayle McKay - PA
"YES! The pegs and gripper strips are great!" - Donna James, BC Canada
"YES!" - Margo Clabo - TN
"Yes, very." - Lynn Schwalje - MD
"Felt comfortable in my hand" - Ann Sandberg - MI
"Yes - but I did find that the posts are just a tad wide for me. I think my hands are smaller than average. It wasn't bad and I am becoming used to them"
- Meg Marshall - WA

What unique feature did you most like about the "Fine Line" Continuous Curve Rulers?
"How easy holding them was with the posts and the fact the inside and outside curve is the same"
- Deb Levy - FL
"The pegs for gripping while quilting" - Carla Barrett - CA
"The laser scoring on the bottom of the rulers" - Cheryl Ann Brown-Collins - WA
"Obviously, the posts - really a great idea! The Velcro for helping to keep the rulers from slipping is a very nice benefit - we don't have to add something ourselves"
- Meg Marshall - WA
"PEGS" - Margo Clabo - TN
"Felt comfortable in my hand" - Ann Sandberg - MI
"I like the 90 degree markings in addition to the curved lines. And the non slip material works great. I usually don't like non slip on my rulers as I like to be able to micro adjust easily. With the posts it is easy to move the ruler around even with the non slip strip." - Gretchen Adams - NY
"I liked that the curve on both sides of the ruler is the same. Makes it easy to avoid the awkward positions when trying to stitch. I love the holding pegs."
- Donna James - BC, Canada
"I appreciated the etched lines. I was surprised at how useful the center marking was for aligning the ruler with respect to the area to be quilted." - Lynn Schwalje - MD
"The ability to work from both sides of the ruler was shear genius! Having arthritis in my hands, it was joy to have the ease of switching sides to fit the need and be comfortable. No pain in my hands or wrists was wonderful!"
- Janet Murdock - OR
"I did not think I would like the resistance strip. I DO! I slide my rulers across the quilt top as I quilt. I was afraid the strip would cause so much resistance that I would not be able to slide it. It creates just enough resistance to provide more stability, but not so much that it won't slide when intentionally sliding along. I had to try it to believe it!"
- Gayle McKay - PA
"I really like the finger grips, this is the first time I have used any of your rulers and the finger grips are perfect! My first ruler was a make do and mend type of thing from my rubber stamping cupboard and had a finger grip on the top, so I already knew I would like your designs."
- Kay Bell - Scotland, UK
"I really liked the resistance strip on the bottom of the ruler to aid in preventing the ruler from moving while I am quilting"
- Eddie Landreth - AR
"Of course the hand grips, but I also liked the easily visible etched lines."
- Debbi Kelly - WI

What was your first impression of the "Fine Line" Continuous Curve Rulers?
"Positive, this was a truly unique ruler; different from what other companies are doing."
- Carla Barrett - CA
"The posts for holding the rulers in place are quite different and unique. At first, I wasn't sure, but as I used them, I quite liked them. Gave someplace for my fingers to naturally go to."
- Meg Marshall - WA
"They were just amazing. I had never seen anything like them."
- Ann Sandberg - MI
"I thought they looked like they would be awkward to use. But to my delight they are very comfortable to use."
- Gretchen Adams - NY
"I liked the scored lines, the holding pegs, and how they "fit" in my hand."
- Donna James - BC, Canada
"The pegs will help! Love the fact that both sides are the same radius"
- Margo Clabo - TN
"I thought they were pleasing to the eye, and comfortable in the hand"
- Lynn Schwalje - MD
"The handle intrigued me. And again I am drawn to the clean "clear" look of these rulers. In my opinion clear looks more professional and attractive in the studio as well. Le'ts face it our studios already look a little cluttered so I don't need added color with my tools. The fact that they are easier to work with is even better.
- Janet Murdock - OR
"My very first impression was that the rulers were extremely well packed so they wouldn't break during shipping. I appreciate that. My next impression was that the finger grips were strange looking and I had no idea if I would like them or not...I DO! I was pleased to see that they are clear acrylic, rathern than yellow, green, pink or blue because I think the colors are more difficult to see through"
- Gayle McKay - PA
"I really appreciate your attention to detail with the packaging. I love to open little packages that I have ordered for myself, like little gifts! Of course my rulers came by international shipping and were very well protected! Both of the new rulers are made from strong plexiglas and feel solid and comfortable in the hand."
- Kay Bell - Scotland, UK
"The crystal clear view through them, rather than a somwhat cloudy view that some rulers have made them attractive from the first look. I could tell that I was going to be able to easily see my work through the ruler."
- Eddie Landreth - AR
"As a novice quilter, I am just beginning to experiment with rulers. It took me a little time to get used to grasping the ruler pegs. Once I began to feel comfortable holding the ruler, making the continuous curves became easier and easier. I think I have become pretty proficient and am anxious to use the rulers again."
- Cheryl Anne Brown-Collins - WA
"As I have used the straight line rulers I knew that they would be awesome and I wasn't disappointed."
- Debbi Kelly - WI
